Andora Calhoun is an accomplished sales training and learning development leader with 19 years of combined experience including sales, sales management, training, sales coaching, consulting, and leadership development. Andora’s passion for sales and developing people, along with her extensive skills in reinforcing concepts and coaching individuals to improvement, have helped people all over the country change their desired behaviors and increase their sales. She is a dynamic facilitator and coach who is skilled in curriculum development, creating solid learning environments that translate to life-long learning, and assessing an organization’s environment for opportunities in growth for sales representatives and sales leaders, including top level executives, directors, and front line managers.
Andora spent 15 years of her career with Gannett, Inc. where she held positions in sales and sales leadership at The Montgomery Advertiser in Montgomery, AL and The Tennessean in Nashville, TN. Her sales training and development career began at Gannett’s U.S. Community Publishing Division where she was first Manager, Sales Training & Development and then Director, Training & Sales Development. While at Gannett, Andora won several awards for top sales manager and was highly involved in several initiatives including an Employee Resource Group and the Gannett Mentoring Program.
Prior to her association with Learning Outsource Group, Andora was the Director, Sales Training and Development at Vocus, a cloud-based public relations software company, where her primary responsibilities included leadership development, reinforcement consistency, and developing a consistent and successful onboarding program.
A graduate of the University of Alabama, she majored in Advertising and Communications and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Adult Education with a concentration in Training & Development. Andora is a national member of the Association of Talent Development (ATD) and currently sits on the Metro DC Board for ATD as the Director, Talent Management. She has been accused of being “too inspirational” and she’s thankful she is…to her, inspiration is how she connects with people and gets them to see something differently today than they did yesterday. She is involved in several other civic organizations and resides in Northern Virginia with her family.
